About the team
A family team, three generations deep
The story starts with Ray Smith. He served 27 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, went into real estate after his service, and raised his daughter Corinda in the business. As a girl she typed his contracts. She went on to earn an accounting degree from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, got licensed, and spent more than 20 of her years in real estate working beside her father.
The team took shape around 2016. It became Team Wong Hawaiʻi around 2020, when Corinda's son Michael joined, built the logo, and began developing the brand and its digital presence. Her daughter Michelle Love came next, bringing experience from Amazon and from escrow. Three agents, Shaun Kanoho, Ciena Alagao, and Kainoa "KJ" Harrison, joined after the family core formed. Ray remains with the team today in a reduced role.
One client relationship shows how long these run. A couple bought their first house through Ray in 1986. Thirty-five years later, in 2021, they called him to sell that same house, and he handled it with Corinda.
What holds the group together is a shared approach to the work. Corinda describes her job as taking the stress off: systems, timelines, and communication that tell you what happens next. Clients are treated as an extension of the family, which is how a three-generation team tends to operate.
